Meet the Cast of Much Ado About Nothing!


The Shakespeare On Tour company is gearing up to hit the road for the tour of Much Ado About Nothing. Over the next month, the company will be engaging audiences and holding workshops across the state and surrounding area.

Sarah Carlson-Brown (Beatrice and Verges)
After graduating with a BA in Theatre Performance from UNOmaha, Sarah has worked as a professional actor/educator for the past 8 years, working with Utah Shakespeare Festival, Taffety Punk Theatre in Washington DC, and Nebraska Theatre Caravan. Recently, Sarah was hired as Nebraska Shakespeare╩╝s Associate Artistic Director in charge of Education, after working for 10 years as a company member.

Dan Chevalier (Benedick and Borachio)
Dan is excited to make his debut performance with Nebraska Shakespeare. He most recently appeared as Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Omaha Community Playhouse. Other favorite roles include Puck in Shakespeare in Hollywood and Jack in Into the Woods. Dan is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Russell Daniels (Leonato)
Russell currently resides in NYC. Some of his favorite roles in the past include: Bottom (Midsummer), Dogberry (Much Ado), Chorus (Henry V), and the Baker (Into the Woods). He is excited to be back in Omaha and will next be performing in Nebraska Theatre Caravan's East Coast Production of A Christmas Carol as The Ghost of Christmas Present.

Kersten Katerina Haile (Hero and Dogberry)
Kersten graduated with a BFA in Acting from Millikin University. Previous roles include Juliet- Romeo and Juliet, Puck- A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Maria (understudy Rosaline)- Love’s Labour’s Lost, Laurie- Brighton Beach Memoirs, and Mona (then)- Come Back to the Five and Dime... Unending gratitude to her family, friends, and teachers for the support, love, smiles, hugs, and wisdom.

Matthew Karasek (Claudio and Sexton)
This is Matt's third time working with Nebraska Shakespeare. He has appeared in ensemble roles in the last two summer seasons. He is excited for the new experience of going on tour.

Lauren Krupski (Don John and Margaret)
This is Lauren's third production with Nebraska Shakespeare and her second time performing in Much Ado About Nothing. In 2008, Lauren received her B.A. in Theatre from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Some of her favorite past shows include Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Man of La Mancha, and The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Kelly Misek, Jr (Don Pedro and Seacoal)
Kelly holds an Acting BFA in classical works from Nebraska Wesleyan. He recently worked with Shakespeare on the Green: Demetrius - A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Laertes – Hamlet. Kelly currently lives in Los Angeles and will soon be appearing as the lead role in the new web-series The League of Ordinary Gamers.
