Nebraska Shakespeare is Partnering with NET on Shakespeare Uncovered.

Nebraska Shakespeare is proud to be a part of Nebraska Educational Telecommunication's (NET) year-long celebration of Shakespeare on NET Television and Radio. The celebration includes events such as Talk Like Shakespeare Day, the Anne Dittrick Sonnet Writing Contest, performances of Shakespeare plays on NET Radio and at locations across the state, and "Shakespeare Uncovered".

"Shakespeare Uncovered" is an in-depth series of documentaries that explore Shakespeare's life and plays, hosted by leading actors and scholars in the field that airs on Fridays on NET Television starting on January 25th.

After viewing the series join us for our third annual Shakespeare On The Silverscreen series starting February 26th, where we will screen and host a discussion about "Shakespeare Uncovered" episodes; "The Comedies" with Joely Richardson and "Macbeth" with Ethan Hawke, as well as Trevor Nunn's Twelfth Night and Julie Taymor's Titus. Discussions will feature guest scholar, D. Scott Glasser, Chair of the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Department of Theatre and Instructor for UNO's course: Shakespeare on Film: The Art of Interpretation. Topics will include the film, the history of its production, and the interpretation of Shakespeare's text.  Click HERE for more about On The Silverscreen.
